About our

PEERS® program

Strivesocial uses the PEERS® Social Communication Skills for Young Adults program. This is the only evidence-based social skills program available for young adults.

During our training, Julie from Strivesocial will take you or your loved one through a step-by-step guide on how to initiate, maintain and strengthen friendships and improve social connections.

The program includes lessons, role-play videos and behavioural exercises all developed by the PEERS clinic at UCLA. Here is a sample of one of the role-play videos, featuring the developer of the PEERS® program, Dr. Elizabeth Laugerson:

If you have ever wondered, how does everyone else seem to know how to make friends and get along with people, then this program will show you what socially confident people are doing and then practice along with you.

Who is this program for?

This program is aimed at teenagers (or soon to be teenagers) and young adults who are keen to learn the skills to make and keep friends.

Although the program is for anyone who identifies as needing social skills coaching, some people may also identify as having social difficulties resulting from Anxiety, Autism, Depression, ADHD, Acquired Brain Injury, and Cognitive Disability.

Regardless of who you are, if you’re motivated to develop new social connections the PEERS® program will help. Eligible NDIS participants welcome.
